Our Typical Summer Positions:
How would you like to spend your summer living and working close to the beach on Cape Cod?
We staff a variety of seasonal positions each summer. Most are seasonal summertime positions working approximately 35 to 40 hours per week from mid-May to mid-September.
Our positions are paid on an hourly basis, plus we frequently are able to provide a FREE CAMPSITE for the summer with electric and water hookups for our staff members.
If you would like to earn income for the summer while camping near the tip of Cape Cod, surrounded by the Cape Cod National Seashore Park and close to some of the East Coast’s best beaches, check with us to learn which positions might still be available. Since ideally many of our employees choose to come back and work with us in following summers, the number of positions that are available varies somewhat from season to season. We frequently begin our selection and hiring process for many of our positions as early as October and November. However, it is not unusual for us to fill some of our openings later in the winter or even during early spring. Read about our typical openings below. If one of these opportunities sounds like it could be an ideal fit for you, please reach out to us via email at: gcurrier88@gmail.com. Let us know which positions you prefer and why. Include a description of your work experience / resume, tell us your dates of availability, and let us know what type of camping equipment you would be using. We look forward to hearing from you!
We are always on the look-out for amazing potential staff members:
So if you are great with guests, hard-working, and take pride in doing your best, then we would love to talk with you about joining our team. Most of our positions start in early to mid-May and continue through mid-September. We are especially interested in hiring two or three person teams, as we only have a limited number of FREE CAMPSITES with hookups available that we can provide for our full-time seasonal staff members.

Office Staff:
All of our office positions require great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a desire to provide exceptional customer service. Experience using “CampgroundMaster” reservation software is helpful, and having a willingness to step in and help out wherever needed is essential.
-
Our office staff work together as a team, yet with individual responsibilities. Each position has a different focus, but there will be some overlap. The office workload can vary significantly throughout the season and throughout the week or day. So staff must be able to prioritize their actions to handle the busy rushes and also be prepared to use the quieter moments to get caught back up on any lingering paperwork, filing, communications, and tidying up the office.
-
Office schedules will vary somewhat according to positions and time of the summer. Our office is open 7 days a week, for about 10 hours a day throughout most of the summer, opening at 9:00 AM and closing at 9:00 PM, with an hour closed for lunch and another for dinner each day.
-
BACK OFFICE: Focused on communicating with our guests: responding to inquiries, questions, and reservation requests via incoming phone calls, emails and online reservations. As the main point of contact for our campground, we are looking for friendly, helpful people that are comfortable talking on the phone, and are proficient typing emails. You will also interact with our Campground Master reservation software to determine campsite availability. Generally we have two back office workers who work opposite schedules so that we always have someone providing communications coverage.
-
FRONT DESK: Working alongside our managers to greet guests upon arrival, assisting with guest check-ins, processing guest payments, assigning campsites, reviewing camp rules, and describing our facilities.
Bathroom Cleaners:
We are proud to have one of the cleanest campgrounds you will ever find. Our entire staff works hard to keep our facilities clean for the families and guests who camp with us.
-
Schedules:
- We generally hire a crew of 2or 3 full-time seasonal workers to thoroughly clean our four restroom facilities every day, for approximately 40 hours a week.
- Early in the morning the bathrooms are briefly refreshed, sweeping floors, restocking paper towels and toilet paper, resolving any issues such as plugged toilets, and quickly tidying up.
- Mid-day the restrooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, scrubbing bowls, wiping down all surfaces, mopping or sweeping floors, removing any trash, and restocking supplies.
- Later in the afternoon or evening bathrooms are briefly refreshed again to prepare them for the evenings.
- Other duties include sweeping and cleaning our Adult Quiet Room daily, sweeping floors, discarding any trash, organizing and wiping down furniture, disinfecting high touch surfaces, and sweeping the porch area. They also collect any lost and found items returning them to the office.
- Physical Requirements: We provide a golf cart to assist our bathroom cleaners in getting around the campground, but the position is still physically demanding. Scrubbing and mopping the floors especially requires strength and fitness. Good eyesight is essential. Having flexibility / mobility to bend down low to reach under sinks and around toilets and stalls is also very important.
- Challenges: You have to really clean quickly and efficiently every day. Some days can be harder than others depending on the weather and amount of guest traffic. Each day you’ll perform your basic cleaning duties, but will also assess how you can make the most cleaning impact with your time. For example, after a heavy rain you may need to focus more time and energy on mopping or scrubbing floors since sand and pine needles have been tracked into the bathrooms. Once a week you might focus more time on removing any cobwebs up high around rafters or from the exterior of the building. Another day you might spend more time wiping down the entrance doors or stall doors or other areas like the walls, sinks, or urinals, etc.
- Advantages: You can take pride in visibly seeing the difference your efforts make every single day! Your work day is separated into manageable portions which allows plenty of time to relax and re-energize. After performing your main cleanings, you will have time to go to the beach or enjoy sightseeing in the afternoons, and to go out out shopping or dining in the evenings after the afternoon checks.
Shower Cleaners:
We thoroughly clean our shower facilities and our recreation hall daily, as well as picking up trash and debris from our roadways, paths and campsites.
- Our men’s and women’s showers each have a dozen showers split into two bays of showers with changing area, and sinks and toilets. Our two person team thoroughly clean our showers early each morning starting at about 5:30 AM so they are open and ready for guests at 8 AM. Like with our bathrooms, our shower cleaners perform the essential cleaning and disinfecting duties daily while somewhat modifying their routine each day to focus on different specific elements, such as shower curtains, interior stall walls, or floors. This detailed approach keeps our shower facilities looking great throughout the entire summer.
- Afterwards our shower staff clean and sweep the laundry mat area daily preparing it for guests.
- Later each day (the timing is flexible) the shower staff also walk throughout the campground to keep our grounds tidy. They patrol the parking lots, roadways, pathways and empty campsites, picking up any litter, cigarette butts, or other debris to ensure our campground always looks clean and presentable for guests.
Night Watchman:
Our Night Watchman has a number of responsibilities focused on keeping our campground safe, secure and comfortable for guests.
- EVENINGS: Every night the watchman walks the entire 58 acre campground for a couple of hours, politely helping to ensure guests are respecting our Quiet Hours and Fire Safety rules beginning at 10:30 PM. Our watchman may also close up our showers and laundromat at 9 PM and our recreation hall and adult quiet room at 10 PM.
- AFTERNOONS: Most afternoons our watchman assists our management team by performing our afternoon Site Check, using a golf cart to check on the status of all guests and campsites throughout the park.
- MORNINGS or DAYTIMES: Performs other daily duties including cleaning our large recreation hall facility, sweeping floors, discarding any trash, putting away games, wiping down picnic tables, ping pong tables, pool tables, and cleaning the fireplace. Collects any lost and found items returning them to the office. Our watchman also cleans and maintains our playground area to keep it safe and clean for guests, as well as our recycling and trash receptacle areas, parking lots, and beach firewood area. They also assist with various projects as needed such as campground landscaping, trimming of trees along roadways, brush removal, campsite maintenance, and other general maintenance or repair projects.
- This position requires someone with good walking / hiking fitness, confidence, and good communication skills, including a pleasant and non-confrontational approach. They must be reliable, able to work independently, and eager to assist.
- This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hiking and likes going to the beach during the day and watching or photographing the night sky (you cannot believe how beautiful the Milky Way and stars shine on a clear night since we are surrounded by the wooded Cape Cod National Seashore Park and miles of ocean).
