ESSENTIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
NORTH OF HIGHLAND CAMPING AREA
In order that all our campers have a safe and enjoyable stay, we require
your cooperation with the following rules and regulations:
NOT ALLOWED:
- NO OPEN FIRES
- NO BURNING of WOOD or PINE NEEDLES
- NO CUTTING or HACKING OF TREES
- NO ENLARGING of CAMPSITES
- NO DISORDERLY CONDUCT
- NO OBSCENE or INDECENT LANGUAGE
- NO PETS of ANY KIND
- NO LITTERING including CIGARETTE BUTTS
- NO WASHING DISHES, CLOTHES or FOOD at BATHROOM SINKS or WATER SPIGOTS
- NO HANGING LANTERNS in TREES, near tarps or tents, or rope
- NO CHARCOAL GRILLS ON THE PICNIC TABLE
ALLOWED only AS DEFINED.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES only in CAMP SITES.

CAMP STOVES, LANTERNS, CAMP HEATERS AND BUG
REPELLENT CANDLES only while an ADULT IS PRESENT. Always EXTINGUISH before LEAVING THE SITE.

CHARCOAL FIRES:
-
ADULT must always be PRESENT until the FIRE is
EXTINGUISHED.

Charcoal fires can ONLY be used in a SOLID BOTTOM GRILL with
LEGS.

Grill should be located ON GROUND which is CLEAR of PINE NEEDLES
and other FLAMMABLE MATERIAL.

ONLY BURN CHARCOAL. Do NOT burn twigs, pine needles, paper, or wood.

EXTINGUISH charcoal fire by:
SOAKING with WATER.
KEEP the charcoal in the GRILL until it is COLD to TOUCH.
Then PLACE in TRASH BAG to be DISPOSED of in TRASH DUMPSTER.
DO NOT DUMP CHARCOAL ON GROUND.

PLAYGROUND (for children ages 2-12). ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS.

QUIET HOURS: Your GROUP must be QUIET enough
not to be heard by your CLOSEST NEIGHBOR from 10:30 p.m. until 7:30
a.m.

RADIOS and MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, etc. may be
played for YOURSELF ONLY during the DAY, and should be TURNED OFF during QUIET
HOURS.

VISITORS must REGISTER DAILY when they ARRIVE;
the CAMPER is RESPONSIBLE for all guests.

CAMP STICKER must be on ALL VEHICLES including
BOAT TRAILERS.

CAMPING GEAR must be LOCATED in the CENTER of
the SITE (ask if you are not sure.)

PARKING: No more than TWO VEHICLES are allowed
at your site, and only if properly parked in the driveway.

RUBBISH: Put in TRASH BAGS (available at office)
and PLACE in DUMPSTERS located near the restrooms in each
area.

PICNIC TABLES must be LEFT in their ORIGINAL
SITE.

SPEED LIMIT is posted at 10 MPH. BE CAREFUL
and WATCH for CHILDREN and BIKES.

FREE WOOD for BEACH FIRES is AVAILABLE WHILE
SUPPLIES LAST. Town or National Seashore PERMIT REQUIRED.

WASH DISHES or FOOD at your CAMPSITE
ONLY.

LOST & FOUND is located at OFFICE. HELP
us by REPORTING UNUSUAL EVENTS. The management is NOT RESPONSIBLE for LOST
or STOLEN ITEMS.
