PICTURES FROM NORTH OF HIGHLAND CAMPING AREA

We're proud of the beauty and natural setting of our campsites. Many of the following photographs were taken throughout the campground in January 1997. We invite you to come and see for yourself.

We have some of the most scenic and secluded camping sites on Cape Cod. All of our sites are wooded, and nestled among the pine trees. Each family receives their own site, selected to match their particular equipment requirements, as well as, individually requested preferences. You won't find open "overflow" fields for camping at North of Highland.

Each site has a character all its own. So pitch your tent among the pine trees, and gather around the picnic table for an early morning breakfast or a friendly game of cards.

When you're ready for a relaxing day at the beach, take a stroll down the National Seashore's sandy beach path. Beautiful Head of the Meadow Beach awaits, only 1/2 mile away.

BIRDS EYE VIEW

Below are a few aerial photos of the campground and surrounding area. If you look closely you can see the outlines of the main campground roads and a few of our buildings. These photographs were taken a number of years ago so they don't show a number of the improvements and additions which have been made. The photographs do, however, provide a visual sense of where the campground is located relative to the ocean beaches, and gives you a good idea of the wooded nature of our surroundings, here, inside of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

The photo on the left shows the tip of Cape Cod extending across the bay, with North of Highland in the foreground. The recreation building and main parking lot are visible as is the main enterance road for the campground. The road which runs left to right along the bottom of the picture is Head of the Meadow Road.

The photo to the right shows Head of the Meadow Beach stretching along the ocean-side coast of Cape Cod. The campground fills the center of the picture, with Head of the Meadow Road running along the right. The long parking area along the beach is the National Seashore b
